There are three economic categories: high, middle, and low, with the middle income category further subdivided into lower middle or upper middle income. Countries with per capita gross national incomes between $996 and $12,195 fall under this category.With $996 being low and $12195 being high See attached report form World bank for the comining facical year 2015 and Kenya is rated has Low income economy. Surprisingly South Sudan is rated higher than Kenya...I believe coz of there production of Oil.
