A YOUNG MAN FROM GERMANY SEES AMERICAS NEED I first got to know Peter from Germany on Hucks Army several years ago. He is a young man who became interested in Governor Huckabees candidacy for President back in the fall of 2007 and was hooked. He wrote: From my observations, I hardly knew there existed such high profile politicians who were a) not corrupt b) not part of some self-serving political machinery and c) so conservative that my views are actually represented. A person with the (Christian) conservative views of Mike Huckabee would be unelectable in Germany... Peter reminded us of what we have in this (potentially) great nation and political system: a) A nation founded on this principle: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. This is extraordinary. A nation can hardly be founded on a better principle than this... If Peter does not object ;-), I will share more of his thoughts from 2007 on how blessed America was then, and can be again, to have Mike Huckabee as a Presidential candidate. I do want to share his suggestion for victory from back then, that I think would be so excellent for this year, seven years later: Peter said: In addition to promoting Huckabees candidacy through political activity, I believe the most important thing is to build up a prayer army for him. If that is in place, I am absolutely confident that he will win. Believe me, by experience I know what I am talking about concerning prayer. A concerted prayer effort will move mountains. It would for example be very good to have the following numbers: - 100 people who pray 30 minutes every day for all matters regarding Huckabee (and I mean, every day) - Another 1,000 people who pray 10 minutes ever day (every day) for Huckabee The topics he suggested were: - For Mike personally: for protection, blessing, and wisdom - For the right connections, advisors, allies (I believe it is crucial that he builds up the right team of advisors, gets the contacts and allies he needs, in business, in the military, in the establishment, etc. He will absolutely need them, or he wont be able to go very far and will accomplish very... - For donors/financial resources/fund raising - For the media, fair and positive media coverage How about this, prayer team? Is God leading you to greater commitment in prayer? I really like Peters ideas, seven years later!
