A bad day at the dog park. While Bernie was running off-leash, I was talking with a couple of friends. A malamute and a huskie were running flat out and ran into a woman in front of me, who fell into me. My sense of balance is still compromised by the subdural hematoma from a year and a half ago, so I fell back on a little boy who ended the escapade by falling on his dog. Who then peed all over him. The womans right leg was at about a 35 degree angle, sideways so an ambulance was called and she was whisked off to surgery. I just got a text from her husband saying she was in recovery. Now the doctors and physical therapists have stressed the importance of getting back on my feet with out help, as quickly as possible, and aside from a throbbing headache and being a bit woozy, I was pretty ok, all things considered. I got back to the car and a post-it note reminded me to go to the grocery store. Another gift from the hematoma is CRS-short term memory loss or cant remember shit. I got flour (fresh bread tonight) swiped my creditcard and had the worst scare of my life. I was looking at the card reader and I could remember the symbols were letters, but I couldnt remember how to read. It was gibberish to me but all it said was credit or debit? How do you tell the cashier you dont remember how to read? I was shaking like a leaf in a hurricane. It passed but left me very afraid.
