A beautiful big pomegranate found its way to me on the Queen TTC streetcar today. I saw it rolling about the busy floor, around all the commuters feet, and it eventually rolled up my own. I felt a slight touch of dread, as a sign like this in Winter can be taken darkly. I asked if anyone misplaced their pomegranate - when no one spoke up, I acknowledged the gift by ringing the bell early for Strachan. It was a simple tangent from the usual linear route to work from running errands, so I took a moment to pass it on to a particular tree at Trinity Bellwoods Park. Many good people have being, and continue to be tested into the NewYear, so may the dead & dreary times end with the promise of better times. Winter deserves snow, so Springs crops have water to flourish. So I ask that we finally receive some lasting snow, to remind us to keep close and cherish each others company & warmth. I walked away looking forward to 2015, the offering was received. :) Some know the Mayfaire tree at Trinity Bellwoods Park; so if it is on your route home, please visit and make an offering. The line is open and receptive at the moment! ;)
