A big ole hug and kiss to my dear husband Kasey for all his continued hard work as he helps in the garden and with canning this season! My dear hubby picked 10 dozen ears of corn Friday after work. And then cooked a pot of corn for us to munch on that night. This morning he picked tomatoes as I slept in and then helped me put up corn and (still cooking) tomato sauce. He also assisted me in my pursuit of homemade pickled penrose sausages...we shall report on that later! :D My sweet son Matthew also pitched in, running back and forth for whatever was needed, helping "scalp" the tomatoes for the grinder and just being a really big help. Now the dynamic duo is trying out the $3.00 ice cream maker we got yesterday at the Historic Byway yard sale. Thanks guys! You make my life so much easier! I am so grateful to have you two!
