A big thank you to everyone that participated in Oshawa’s 2014 Community Clean-up program.19,000 pairs of gloves and 8,000 garbage bags were distributed to registered participants.This year over 112 separate groups comprised of 18,360 volunteers helped spruce up our community with a few groups still planning for further cleanups in May and June. Every age group was represented from pre-school kids to seniors, and worthy of mentioning is that students from Eastdale CVI and G.L. Roberts CVI had the largest number of students involved and covered the largest area. Many local organizations worked as teams such as the 300 Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and community groups from ODAWG and Willow Park Cooperative. AWESOME JOB EVERYONE !
