A biotechnology business association is planning a presentation May 28 on efforts to attract biotech jobs to Marin. The event is being organized by SofTech, a nonprofit organization for business and technology professionals. The event will include a presentation by Chris Stewart, Novatos economic development manager, and Rob Eyler of the Marin Economic Forum, on efforts to bring some 500 high-paying biotech jobs to Marin over the over the next three years. Organizers say Marin is already home to 200 life science companies. The event will be held at the San Rafael Corporate Centers Tamalpais Room at 750 Lindaro St. in San Rafael. Networking and registration begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by the presentation at 7:15 p.m. The event is open to the public. Admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
