A bit of deep and meaningful this afternoon. On the first day of the year just remember we are approx 18 weeks from a General Election. The next three months are probably the only time that most MPs deem it necessary to speak to us normal working class people. After they have got your vote they can forget about you for five years so before deciding who to vote for ask a few questions of your MP wanabees. Like .... Does your preferred choice come from the area or are they a parachuted choice of their party? Will your preferred choice be taking the yearly 10% pay increases given to MPs? Will your MP be employing family members at inflated salaries paid for by us? Will your choice be living in London most of the time in a home paid for by us whilst claiming money back for necessities like biscuits , tea or coffee? Lots to think about before you place your x on that card.
