A brief will be prepared for the Coroner following a fatal crash on the state’s Central Coast. About 12.15am today (Thursday 10 July 2014), emergency services responded to reports of a car on fire on the Pacific Highway at Lake Munmorah. It’s believed the Holden Commodore was travelling south when it left the road, hit a concrete pole and ignited. A body was located near the vehicle. The gender and age of the deceased are not yet known. A crime scene will be established, and police from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. The Pacific Highway is closed south-bound near Chain Valley Bay Road.
