A busy year for upgrades and maintenance on the Celtic Shores - TopicsExpress

A busy year for upgrades and maintenance on the Celtic Shores Coastal Trail. The trail is now reopened between Long Point(Km 20) and Walkers Cove(Km 24) including Chisholms River Bridge. Final topcoat surfacing has been laid down, graded and compacted this weekend. A few good rains will further compact it for an awesome tread. This is one of the more spectacular viewscapes along the trail so be sure to check it out! A special shout out again this hot weekend to hardcore trail volunteers Rinus Van DeVen, Wilson Cameron, Larry Beaton and Bob Middaugh!! The next 4 km section to be top-coated will be between West Mabou and David Van Zutphens. Please use extreme caution if you are on this section as trucks and equipment may be present on the trail in the coming weeks! A major Km 21 Coastal Trail Remediation has now been completed. Trail mowing has been completed by trail volunteers in Inverness, Mabou, Port Hood, Judique and currently underway in Creignish & Troy. New signage will continue to be installed by volunteers in the coming weeks.New community trail volunteers are always welcome! Share if you like.
