A capitalistic Democratic society functions just fine if its citizens do their civic duties within reason, use common sense when voting, see what is really there as apposed to just what they are looking for or hoping to find, are wise consumers, live within their means, get involved when they discover victims of injustice, are not afraid or even worse to lazy to speak their minds, use good moral judgeship, practice proper business ethics as employers as well as employees, dont cheat on their taxes or look for unscrupulous loop holes (simply put just volunteer to pay their fair share), dont stereotype other people, respect other peoples right of speech, tolerate others religious beliefs, fight against bigotry, and loose their own irrational prejudices. With a few additional character fixes, A near Utopian society could be achieved. Im not holding my breath waiting for it to happen.
