A challenging forecast closed out the first day of meteorological fall. A few areas saw some shower and thunderstorm activity this evening but the majority of you saw a very nice day. Its why it is important to not put all your eggs in one basket. Personally I thought we would see a stormier day and I hit on that yesterday during my first update. Upon waking up this morning I realized that simply was not the case and posted about my fears from yesterday that earlier convection would muck up our atmosphere. Thinking upon the next time.... would I do anything differently? I would not. Ill always attempt to explain the hows and whys of our atmosphere. I dont expect many of you to understand it but Id much rather give a justification on not just why something happened, but why it didnt. Each set up is a learning process. Remember I said today would be just another typical severe weather day. It turns out it was just another typical pleasant September day. For those that want to say the weather man ruined your plans today, I guess youd be right but your decisions ultimately fall on you. I would much rather talk about an event that didnt come to fruition than to talk about an event that didnt get talked about enough. This is the very reason why I love the weather. No matter how much you think you know, youll never know enough to become bored with it.
