A chance for showers and storms this weekend, with a bit of a cool down. A much more significant cool down is on the way for next week. After record-setting heat this week, a weak cold front is moving out of West Texas this afternoon, and toward South Texas. This front will be the focus for scattered showers and storms, mainly Saturday morning, with the bulk of the precipitation falling in the Hill Country. The front will wash out as is passes through South Texas, so rain chances will begin to dwindle as Saturday wears on, and while temperatures and humidity will come down to much more comfortable levels, Sunday will see a return of humidity with slightly above average temps, and a very slight chance for a shower. Monday morning, a much more potent front will pass through South Texas. While this front will bring very little rain to the area - especially west of San Antonio, it will bring in a prolonged period of much lower humidity, and a prolonged period of cool mornings and warm afternoons with lots of sunshine. 8 images total.
