Hi everyone, this is my first post here and my first sewing machine. Paid $20 bucks for it at a local thrift store. What you see (except for the power cord) is what I got. It ran like a dream when I plugged it in at the store. What I didnt figure out is thats the only way to turn it on/off. Missing pedal. Ugh. Been eBaying it a while now, I hate paying as much for a pedal as I did for the machine. Finally found one for $12 but guess what? Its in CANADA! Oh great. whatever, it seems in perfect condition and wires directly to the unit unlike others Ive noticed that integrate the power cord with the pedal. Any day now . . . BTW, Singer 201 from 1939. I bought Singer grease and am getting oil for it soon (Plus needles, bobbins, feet), maybe I build a base for it to sit in. Wish me luck.
