A close friend of one of my closest friends passed away on the night between New Years Eve and New Years. I met him a few times, really really liked him. He was an archbishop who lived the title; he made his house a place of refuge and warmth and family for many who had been tossed away or forgotten by society. He was a man of God in the true sense of the phrase, the kind of man my own Father Polycarp would have really liked, and I admired him. So this post is a brief tribute to him. Rest in well-deserved peace, Archbishop Richard Michael. You will be greatly missed here.
