A contact of ours is a founding member of the very first Asia-Pacific Football & Futsal seminar which will be hosted by Victoria Universitys Institute of Sport, Exercise & Active Living. This inaugural multidisciplinary seminar will focus on knowledge exchange within Football (Soccer) and Futsal in the context of the Asian century. The Seminar will be held in Melbourne, Australia from 4 - 6 April 2014. The Seminar will be a platform for discussions about the direction of Football and Futsal by people such as: •football researchers •coaches •sports practitioners •industry leaders and experts David Tucker will be the keynote speaker. David was until recently the Head of Commercial Operations at the Football Federation of Australia (FFA). He has over 15 years of experience in the commercial side of sport. Other speakers include; Dr Martin Buchheit - Martin is a leading Football Physiologist in the ASPIRE Academy for Sports Excellence in QATAR Professor Carlo Castagna - Carlo is Head of the Fitness and Research Department of the Italian Football Referees Association (AIA-FIGC), and Head of the Football Training and Biomechanics lab at the Italian Football Federation. Dr Darren Burgess - Darren is currently High Performance Manager at Port Adelaide Football (AFL) Club.
