A conversation with my sister prompted this: Being uncomfortable doesnt mean one is fearful. It means that the comfort one has known is lacking in the situation they are facing. That could bring about a fear if one allow it but it does not automatically mean that one is scared. Example: I love plane rides. I have zero fear of flying and I find turbulence rather nice. But if I am uncomfortable in my plane seat, it will not make me fearful of the plane, plane seats, the person next to me or the flight attendants. It will, however, make me grouchy, full of complaints and a very shifty person because Im on a quest to find some level of comfort for the duration of the flight. Moral of the status: It is my hope that people stop associating ones lack of comfort with a certain situation with fear. Sometimes a person just does not want to do that which is asked of them. Understand that and deal with it accordingly without placing an emotion on a person that is just simply not there.
