A cool morning and still. stepping out to feel the morning air a chill and some dew I feel and the copper sky heralding the rising sun. A hazy fog lies low across the land that reminds me of the stories Ive heard of the fogs that lie across the Scottish Moors. And the stories Ive heard of our forebears that came from that land to this so long before. It is a gorgeous morning and I am blessed that the Lord has allowed me this day to witness His wondrous creation. Good Morning to you my Friends and Family. It is a great morning and a great day. The 3rd of September and the 11th anniversary of that morning in 2003. That morning that was such a shock yet not a total surprise. Sandy was gone from us that day and we were left to mourn her passing and to try to celebrate her time on this earth. There had been a lengthy period that she needed a great amount of care and just lifting her from the wheelchair into a car or wherever needed was very difficult. After the pronouncement it took about a day and I had the deepest sense of guilt for having a feeling of relief, a weight had been removed from my shoulders. I first noticed this while speaking to a Pastor regarding her funeral proceedings. I told him of this relief and the ensuing feeling of guilt. He said it was not such an abnormal feeling under those circumstances and that God did not frown upon me for feeling as I did. That too was a relief.
