A couple more from Dads archive, Royal Canadian Pacific in St.Ives harbour Easter 1969, they took the boat from a creek up in Lowestoft and had to put her hard astern in the harbour to get mud out of the cooling ducts. You can see the mud being cleaned off here in St.Ives, the guy on the right is our old mate ex RAF fighter pilot Major Ron Grey (famed for landing a Sabre on the autobahn in W. Germany), he did the trip to earn a few bob in his Easter Hols. Apparently they had the ropes too tight and when they came down she was hanging on them, a local fisherman helped release them! Enroute to Fleetwood I believe? She was last of her class in service on Reserve Fleet until 1978.
