A couple of posts tonight about the state of the roads... repost from Chris: So many barriers around the Wimblehurst Road area at the moment. Why cant HDC get people to dig the hole, put in the lights and fill it in within three weeks? Theyre a danger to motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. After cyclist deaths have been in the news recently, isnt this asking for trouble? repost from Neil: Well this week I started a new job. For the last year I have been commuting to London daily by train. I am now driving to work in Lewes, I cannot beleive how much more traffic there is on the roads, together with umpteen manhole covers that have sunk. Especially by the Texaco garage at Mannings Heath. Cant imagine what our roads will be like when all the proposed developments are occupied.
