A couple of years ago, I was in a court where the judge decided that he wasnt going to follow the statutory guidelines for an issue relevant to our case. I was (surprisingly) joined by the other two attorneys representing other the other parties in lodging our objection and asked the judge to clarify for the record that the court was not going to grant our joint and agreed motion and asked for an explanation as to why the statute did not apply in our case. Instead of being a decent human being and simply explaining or declining (since he knew he was wrong), he thought hed make a power play and scream at me. Needless to say, if gave me great satisfaction to vote against that man today--even if he is re-elected.
