A couple thoughts on the whole Market Basket saga. First off.... for over 18 years Bob and I have gone to Market Basket EVERY Sunday morning at 0645. I have no idea where Im going to shop this coming Sunday. Secondly, I ran some errands this afternoon and passed by the local MB... what I saw took my breath away. Maybe Im a softie, maybe Im a big cry baby. Regardless of your views on who is right and who is wrong, employee loyalty is NOT something you see anymore. The rows and rows of employees, peacefully holding signs in support of Artie T brought tears to my eyes. If you arent from this area you may not even be hearing about this... but to see such a huge company brought to its knees by 25,000 employees who want their CEO back is something I have never witnessed to this magnitude. So very many people coming together to stand up for what they believe. They arent union, they arent fighting for a better deal... they just want their boss back. AMERICAN SPIRIT AT ITS BEST.
