A critically important article for anyone looking toward the future and uncontent to accept the current reality as our eternal destiny. Netanyahu has now made absolutely clear that the Palestinians will never have a sovereign state on his watch. I assume he also does not intend, at any point, to offer citizenship to any of the Palestinians living in the West Bank. I can only conclude that his vision is for the millions of non-Israeli human beings living there to meekly and passively accept a permanent state in which they are ruled by a foreign government, and where they have no legal rights or representation. Am I wrong? Is there any other way to read this? On top of everything else I find wrong with this, I think his timing can be read as nothing less than incitement. Is now really the time to be telling the Palestinian people that political negotiations are and will always be futile, that Israel will never recognize them?
