A day in history. I have spent more than one 9-11s in New York and have many priceless friends there. I love New York. A city of the most genuine, amazing people always full of LIFE at every street corner - and heaven of all heavens also a STARBUCKS at every corner! The most moving moment I encountered on a 9-11 anniversary was in 2010 at the memorial built, where I witnessed what appeared to be a father with 2 very young children arranging roses in the fountain to remember a loved one, after all these years grief-stricken. Photography is more than pretty pictures. It freezes emotion, documents history. It did not take long for those of us with lenses to quickly lower them out of respect and let this family unit, obviously smaller, have their moment of memory with the dignity they deserved. No one can bring their loved one(s) back. Their lives are forever changed. The world continues to move on without them. All we can do is make choices how we move on.
