A day same as today, March 04, Kenyans turned out in large numbers to participate in a democratic electoral process. Hopes and spirits were high and great was the expectation. However the joy on the faces of many Kenyans was short lived and once more, victory became elusive. From the coastal strip of Kenya to the lakeside western; Lower and upper eastern up to Nairobi, people were grief stricken because hope deferred makes the heart sick. Controversially, a new president was announced. This day is therefore one of the many days to remember. I however salute the millions of Kenyans who have braved the time, keeping the spirit of democracy alive. I know that one of these days; just one of these days, it shall pay off. Happy new year of Hope!
