A day typically devoted to consuming as much candy as possible, starts with health & fitness in District 6. The 40th Annual Sams Valley Mini-Marathon includes over 500 fourth and fifth grade students from all five elementary schools. Rain or shine (and the rain did let up by race time), kids sporting their school colors run a 5K on the rural roads around SVE. Congratulations to all the mini-marathoners! Keep an eye on our young runners as they are likely to lead the state in track and Cross County in middle and high school (Crater Boys Cross Country are the District champs and both the boys and girls teams are competing at the sate meet on Saturday).
