A divine meal. Having arrived back home in the Faroe Islands after a fortnight abroad, my wife and I sat down and enjoyed a meal that we had not enjoyed for some time: dried cod, dried pilot whale meat and blubber. What a pleasure it was enjoying some familiar food that we know is nourishing, rich of vitamins and ecological in addition. While enjoying our ecological meal we could not help talking about the wild animals that were the base for our meal. To some people they seem to be gods that they worship and admire, while they to us they are the gift that God has given to humans on this planet,who worship and adore Him. At the end of the meal we both agreed that we had enjoyed a meal that as far as we and perhaps some of our critics are concerned was simply divine.
