A fan asks about Intermittent Fasting and fasted exercise: 1. IF can and has worked for people for losing fat. It seems like an easy way to limit food intake. Long-term health benefits seem promising as far as glucose management as well as improved mental function. More data is needed however. It likely isnt optimal for those looking to gain large amounts of muscle. 2. Fasted exercise currently has not shown to have a superior advantage for fat loss. There is a study that just started that is trying to look at this closer. IMO though, the diet will provide the biggest impact on fat loss and exercise would be better viewed from the aspect of making us stronger and more fit, rather than a means to lose fat.
