A few days ago I apparently caused quite a stir when I posted my latest article on why you need to be SELFISH. I put the link below if you are interested in reading it. Let me respond to the activity on this post... The title is meant to cause a response, and I appreciate those who have come to my defense. None of us live in a perfect world. In a perfect world, I would love to sleep 7.5 hours every night, spend ample time in prayer, minimize stress, optimize training and family time, while executing flawless nutrition. It is just not the case...extensive travel disrupts my sleep and nutrition schedules. There are periods of time when I work sun up to sun down (training included), etc. The point of the article is to live in balance. While we all go through peaks and valleys in life, it is unhealthy to consistently push yourself to the brink of exhaustion everyday. IF you never take time for yourself, your body will eventually reset through sickness or disease. Why do we have a growing population with diseases like cancer, premature heart attacks, or health problems like obesity...because people often get caught in the hustle of life and dont take time for themselves. An F1 race car must have thorough maintenance between races if the driver wants to win. We try to live like race cars without the maintenance. https://sg.sports.yahoo/news/one-moment-with-rich-franklin--learn-to-be-selfish-152518672.html
