A few hundred years ago, Bengal was mostly a deep forested areas where tigers roamed freely. there were small villages, with a zamindar or landowner, who was sometimes good, sometimes evil. in the forests, inhabited the cult of famous dacoits of Bengal. as usual some of them were good, and some were evil, but mostly they were free brave men. they used to chill out in the forests, smoke ganja chillums after chillums, and when in mood for a pillage, they used to send a letter to the landowner they chose to loot, we are coming on this day etc, be ready and before they went out for the warming up act, the dacoits used to pay homage to Kali, typically in a dilapidated temple, deep in the woods. the good ones were really good, like Robin Hood or something. most of the time the decision to loot was based on giving an evil landowner the taste of fear. also, there was this unbreakable rule that women and children would be kept out of the chaos. https://youtube/watch?v=LUloDDvGhIE
