A few minutes back when I was returning back home from small work, I saw a poor old lady sitting beside the road on a chair. She was not asking (begging is the cheapest word you can use, unless you have no respect on humanity) for money from anybody. Though I stopped by her and took a 10 rupees note and gave it to her. She took it calmly and she didnt even saw my face. Her looks are on the ground. When I was about to leave she called me and asked me whether i have a mobile. I said yes. She asked me whether I can make a call to somebody she know. I said NO. To be honest im pretty much irritated with the wrong calls and numbers, I was afraid to make any call to any unknown number. I asked her to go to nearby shop and use the coin box. She didnt denied my suggestion. Or she didnt even asked me one more time. After moving two steps away from her, I convinced myself that, my situation is not worse than her, that is obvious. How can I ask her to go some coin box and dial the number by herself. As if I gave her some 100 rupees bill. And I thought that she would have not been dependent on my damn 10 rupees which doesnt even worth a coffee if at all she can able to go and dial the number by herself. She would have earned it by doing some work. I came back to her and said that I will do dial the number. She took out a small bag made of cloth, dirty, full of papers, I hardly saw money. She gave me out a piece of paper and requested to dial the third number in the row from the top. She said that the number is of some autowalas and also said that to ask him to come under the tree where she was sitting.I dialed the number, had a talk to that person and explained. He said that he will be there in or around one hour and cut the call. I said the same to the mother and immediately she started being very happy. She was smiling and started talking to herself. I was seeing that happiness which was not present there in her face when I gave her the money. God bless you my child she did said in last. I was very happy when she said that. That made my day. Only thing I want to share is, Everybody in this world has sorrows. But every sorrow doesnt come to end only with the money but also with the Love, Care, Attention that you have not shown to the people who are in need. Otherwise that mother should asked for some more money instead of the call right? Absolutely!. Help everybody who are in need irrespective of age, money, status and relation. Not for their sake but for your happiness. Be selfish, help others. God bless that old lady!
