A few of the lads headed for Selsey today in the hunt of hounds , also they wanted to have a bash at the odd Tope , so I made a few heavy nylon hook length rigs for them ( 100lb rubbing traces ) bearing in mind they want to use Mackerel heads ect for bait , then one asked how do I clip that down to cast ?? . A good point ,,,,, if you dont know how !! a good trick is to make the hook end of the trace with a large loop !! and clip the loop ( not hook ) into a impact shield , this will hold your hook length tight whilst casting and still release your bait upon impact with the water !!.
