A few pointers re yesterdays visit to The Coca-Cola Dome, Northgate, Johannesburg for Hobby-X. Its a venue I am very familiar with since end of construction (before opening 1997). The final years of (my company) Soundalite CC servicing many an event hosted there with an array of audio-visual equipment. A temporary casino was opened on 1 October 1998, located within Sundome, managed by MGM Grand, on behalf of its partner in SA, Tsogo Sun Gaming and Entertainment, prior to Monte Casino in Fourways (opened November 2000). The Sundome Casino closed and the dome was then called the MTN Sundome and acoustic treatment had. We (now Artslink.co.za) became visitors to numerous events and international acts performing at same. Yesterday, it was the same dome; with different people. - Living with PTSD (TJ)
