A few things Ive been thinking about as the holiday shopping season approaches and craft shows will be beginning. Some things to consider while shopping handmade at craft fairs. First, dont walk by a booth and say I could make that. Yes, 90% of what you see, you probably could make with the proper tools and tutorial. But you didnt. And frankly, you probably wont. That person has spent hours making many of their products to display and sell. They put their heart and energy into it. Smile and complement them on their work, and maybe even buy it! Second, dont comment on how overpriced it is. Realize how much time and energy was put into all those pieces. And lastly, for the love of all things good, DO NOT, ask the where they purchased their stuff to make the products. Crafters often research hours, trying out different resources until finding exactly what they want to incorporate into their pieces. Respect that. Enjoy the craft shows, shop SMALL and shop HANDMADE! :)
