A few things came up at the Worthing Cycle Forum Meeting : 1, Hopefully the cycle lane along the prom will be extended as far as Sea Lane Cafe - some people are against this, probably because they dont realise it will involve widening the prom to match the current shared use section. 2, There are a number of Toast Rack style bike parking frames available to install in Worthing - please recommend where you think they should go. 3, The 20s Plenty campaign is going well (though not cycling specific). Having driven my truck in central Brighton last week installing CCTV poles I can say its brilliant - safer for everyone, and no sprint as the lights change! 4, There is a possibility of secure bicycle parking (plastic boxes?) but this needs more research as Worthing doesnt have space for such things, unless you can suggest somewhere? And no, we cant take over the ground floor of the Bowling Alley Multi Storey Car Park...... 5, There will be a Cycle Forum Stand at the Rotary Show on 22nd Feb - its free so come along and make some suggestions - would be ace to fill the car park with bicycles so leave your car at home! worthing-rotary.org/
