A few things (that I have personally noticed): * We have had bad scores in games, but thats what makes us better. * We focus on practice, fitness, and playing the game; bout paint is just a part of the derby culture that some of us fabulous players take part in. Just like booty shorts. * Those of us that transferred from other leagues bring a wealth of knowledge and skill to our league. Old play books have become obsolete because of the rule changes and the fact that the game itself has changed so much in the very recent years. * Coaching is a volunteer position, and sometimes life gets too big to be able to coach anymore. This happens with leagues everywhere. * Attrition happens. Life happens. People leave because they cant play anymore or they move onto another league, but this league doesnt just give up, we keep on and harbour no grudges. Derby is such a small community. * Playing for KDG was and continues to be a great opportunity. * I love roller derby, and I love the people that play roller derby. We are such a great mix of people.
