A few weeks ago we received a message from a member of the U.S. Air Force 386th Combat Metals unit stationed in the Middle East. One of the members of their unit shared with us the groups shared love for great beer and local breweries, and though we are not allowed to send them beer, with the help of some friends we rallied to put together a beer-y gift pack for the troops to share this holiday season. So, huge CHEERS and thank you to all of the men and women fighting for the freedoms we so often take for granted. Take some time this holiday season to thank someone you know in the service. And another big round of applause for the great and supportive businesses who donated so much rad stuff for our friends overseas: Bent Brewstillery (t-shirts), NorthGate Brewing (shirt, toiletry items, granola bars, gum, hand sanitizer, chap stick), Bent Paddle Brewing Co. (shirts, hops candy, stickers), Fitgers Brewhouse Brewery and Grille (hats), 612BREW (hats, t-shirts, patches, beer soap), Dangerous Man Brewing Co (buttons, stickers, t-shirts), Surly Brewing Company (t-shirts, beanies, can coozies, stickers, tattoos, coasters, frisbees, fishing lure ornaments (in case they needed decorations for a Christmas tree), and a note for the troops, Big Wood Brewery (granola bars, baby wipes, ziploc bags, drink mix, candy, hand sanitizer, chap stick, stickers, nuts (Lisas husband is currently stationed in Egypt, so she went the practical route with what she knew they need, and on a VERY generous level!), Excelsior Brewing Company (t-shirts, hats), Summit Brewing Company (beer soap, hats, slap wraps, decks of cards), Burning Brothers Brewing (t-shirts, granola bars, drink mix, frisbees), The Growler (t-shirts, magazines)
