A few words about Brad Pitt: Three years ago when Brad was making Tree of Life with Terrence Malick, they decided to find another project to work on together. Exploring their common interests, they discovered a mutual love of Lousiana in general and Jerry Lee Lewis in particular: Malick wrote a screenplay based on my book that was not used to shoot GBOF. So Brad bought the script with the idea of playing the part of evangelist Jimmy Swaggart (Jerrys cousin, originally played by Alec Baldwin). Problem is finding someone to play Jerry that can hold their own opposite Brad, not to mention that the actor will have to play the piano and sing like The Killer (Dennis Qu@id coudnt pull it off). My choices to play Jerry: Barry Pepper or Matthew McConnaughey And I hope Brad and Terry get around to rebooting GBOF before I die...
