A few years ago I had to go have a heart to heart with a man. I had to thank him for all the direction that he had given me in life. From about 15yrs old until probably 22yrs old I did what seems like the direct opposite of the direction that he gave me. During that time I thought he was just fighting against me. He was wasting his time, effort and oxygen trying his best to protect me. He tried to teach me things that would later make life easier. However, I was too busy living for the moment to see it. Looking back I thought I knew it all yet was clueless. Then I didnt understand why that I seemed to be in boot camp or why was he so much against all that I wanted. So, as the years past and my kids got to that age I come to understand. Thats when I told him that I was sorry for all the heartache that I had managed to place upon him. I hated those what seemed endless hours of talks that I had to hear. But, later in life they became useful. Just like I have told him all of that was molding me to be who I am and allowed me to have the ability to raise my children the way that I have. Daddy, I love you and like we both know you only love me more because you knew what love was before I did. A big HaPpY BiRtHdAy to my very special Daddy-O!! (Jerry)
