A few years ago, I was in the Ladrang gift room with Tsem Tulku Rinpoche when Rinpoche caught me greedily eying a statue of Kyabje Rinpoche :D I know, no shame. Rinpoche then asked me who it would be good for and again without any shame (hehe), I said me (hehe). Rinpoche thought about it for a second and said, Okay yes. I will give this to you because youre so devoted to our lineage lamas. I nearly peed in my pants (excuse my French) with excitement. Later, when I moved into my new house and I was setting up my altar, Rinpoche came over to check we had everything we need. Thats when Rinpoche saw my altar...and removed all of my statues except for Kyabje Rinpoche and Vajrayogini. I guess I mustve looked pretty shocked because Im not used to a minimalist altar but Rinpoche quickly settled my unease by saying the only statues I need are Kyabje Rinpoche and Vajrayogini because they are complete _/|\_ Long story short:- your altars not complete without a statue of Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche
