A topic for discussion. I recently started watching Mad Men, a show based in the 60s and the pioneering of advertisement. I realize some of this thought is Hollywood, however there was a time when the working class cared about their dress code and public appearance. So much to the point men carried an extra dress shirt, or women carried safety pins. It was not that long ago, even early 90s, a large percentage followed this dress code. Now it seems only the 1% continue a standard. I could write a whole book about this, most of you would lose interest, but Id like to talk about the things that have changed in society that have created this change. There are pros and cons to this transition to casual wear, but I personally think our society has become too relaxed.
