A former Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. (Official) Chief needs your help.... Derrick was diagnosed with Stage II brain cancer in 2009. He has had multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation to combat the disease. He was a trooper and got back up and did his thing. His last surgery was March of this year and the results were great- no cancer, but he is suffering from a signifcant change in his neurological status and functional capability and capacity. He has been inpatient since Easter of this year and the bills are mounting. I am asking you to help us defray some of these costs that we are facing.
