TURNING POINT: In the last one month, social media has given an emphatic indication of a radical ideological transformation in Kashmirs minus 40 population that is unequivocally supporting the form of jihad represented by Taliban, TTP, ISIS, Al-Shabab, Boko Haram etc. The number of its takers and proponents, as of now, may be less than 20% but by all indications it is growing in size. As one of its immediate consequences, it will redefine the Kashmiris separatist struggle and armed strife that is fundamentally geopolitical and has its jurisprudence in the UN resolutions. It will radically change the whole course, for the first time after 1947. In other words, the valley will become a constituent of the pan-jihadist enclave, leading to total destruction of its centuries old culture and ethos. Like in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Libya, Nigeria and other countries, it will first of all consume its own Generation One supporters, mark all the existing icons of faith and spirituality as the symbols of Shirk. If India chose to play a mischief, it just has to withdraw its troops back to the barracks. The next season of Kashmir spring will witness flattening of all the existing centers of faith, including all shrines of the reverrerd saints, with bombs and bulldozers. The institutions of Mufti Azam and Mirwaiz, which the radical cult dismisses as Un-Islamic, will obviously be the first target. Abject failure of the valleys intellectual, academic, cultural, political and religious leadership to assert at this defining moment will serve only as a support of silence to what has been named as Caliphate. In the current order of world diplomacy, it will definitely solve India’s Kashmir problem.
