A friend from Australia messaged me this morning about a buddy of his giving him my book to read. He said parts were hilarious! I honestly havent looked at my book for a couple of years and then only to check something somebody said I said(prob. about triple extension). He liked the introduction and so, I found the one old copy I have around the house and read my introduction and I leafed through it and noted that Ive changed a few minor opinions since I published it back in 2010 but that most of the wise ass stuff I wrote still reflects my feelings pretty accurately. And I had a couple of good predictions in there too. Heres a bit from the introduction that I got laughing at this morning in reference to coaches and programs for athletes that take your money and run. Dont be fooled. Many of these guys use a lot of gimmicks and their programs look pretty impressive. But, you can pull parachutes til you drop, stretch with cords, wave stick around, do plyometrics, hop over baby hurdles and balance on wobbly boards or bouncy balls until sundown; if you dont do the lifts(olympic-style lifts), Ive mentioned above as the core of your training program, youll be an athlete who is all frosting and no cake.
