A friend of mine has adopted a family...her story touched me, please read and message me if youd like to help us bless this precious girl this Christmas! Holly Grncarevski 17 minutes ago near Escondido, CA · As some of you know a few of us Escondido Moms have adopted a family for Christmas. I wanted to share her touching story and my hope is that we can really help this family out and create some great memories for her and her daughter this Christmas. Her little girl is only 9 years old and every little girl deserves Christmas!! Hi Holly, Thanks so much for reaching out to me. Let me tell a brief story about my situation... I was diagnosed with an advanced stage Breast Cancer that had metastasized to my lymph nodes in my arm and spread to my liver when I was 29. I went through 6 months of chemo and other treatments. Right when my hair started to come back in and I thought I had beaten this beast; my PET scan (just a month ago) showed that this beast is back and it spread to my broncular area and my worst fear...to my brain! During all the chemo, radiation, surgeries and many other treatments, my beautiful daughter (my heroine) kept me strong. I fight everyday for her! She really does keep me going. There were times when I felt horrible and my daughter would come up to me and pull off my bandana or beanie and rub my head and kiss it and tell me how beautiful I was and that everything was going to be okay...what a sweetheart, huh?! She deserves to have a great Christmas but one that I cannot afford at this time. I used to be a full time student taking 12-16 units... For a consecutive 3 years until I was forced to take a medical withdrawal from school. I no longer have a steady income coming in and have to rely on resources, family and friends to help me get by. Ive never been the type to ask for things...Im always the giver, not receiver. But when it comes to my daughter, she deserves it so if I have to stoop to this level and eat my pride by asking for help....well here goes nothing. Thank you for taking the time to listen; much love,
