A friend of mine has shared it with me: two modern(ist) guys have recently wrote an article thinking they can disprove the teaching of toll houses. It doesnt deserve to be discussed here, Ill comment on it in a brief. The authors 1) ignore the writings of the Holy Fathers but rather rely on if-then common sense logic 2) the whole article is based on (blasphemous) premise that the Most Holy Theotokos is a perfect example of human nature. By their logic, if the Mother of God was not tempted passing toll houses, so nobody will. It is absurd. The Holy Church teaches that the Mother of God prayed - and this prayer is placed in classic Lives of Saints - to Her Divine Son asking to protect her from any rush of Satan, then it is evident that ordinary Christians have to pass TH inevitably.
