A friend shared a graphic with me that had this quote on it. “When buying from an artist/maker, you’re buying more than just an object/painting. You are buying hundreds of hours of failures and experimentation. You are buying days, weeks and months of frustration and moments of pure joy. You aren’t just buying a thing, you’re buying a piece of heart, part of a soul, a moment of someone’s life. Most importantly, you’re buying the artist more time to do something they are passionate about.” - Rebekah Joy Plett, Artist I like to give credit where its due so did a Google search and believe it came from Rebekah Joy Plett. The words brings tears to my eyes - and its so very true. I was also stunned when I googled the first sentence and found this quote on literally dozens of artists pages with absolutely no reference to the original writer - okay so maybe they didnt think to search her out and give credit - but they actually posted it with no comment in most cases that they hadnt written it. I believe in giving proper credit when at all possible - Thank you Rebekah
