A fund for victims of boko haram was launched and those who have - TopicsExpress

A fund for victims of boko haram was launched and those who have brought this country to its knees were jostling over themselves trying to out do one another in donating. If these bunch had showed the same commitment in trying to end the insurgency, would there be a need this? Besides why donate funds to rehabilitate victims of a crisis that is still on, with no end in sight? Do you intend to go to Borno, Yobe, Adamawa etc to distribute these fund or is it another conduit pipe to rake in money for some specific purpose? Dont get me wrong; victims of crises should be rehabilitated and transformed. But does it make sense when on each passing day we record more victims? People dont need funds, the want to be safe and secured and want be free to go about the business with the assurance that they will go back home to their families who are equally safe. Instead of gathering a bunch and launching a pseudo fund, bringing an end to this madness that is killing Nigerians with impunity will make more sense. We are losing this war to the insurgents and all you could do is to do a luncheon to rehabilitate victims of a war that only God know when it will end? Money gotten from fund raising is hardly accounted for. At some point in the life of this country, a first lady launched a Cancer fund, where she got billions. I dont know what has happened to that money. Does anyone have an idea?
