A gift to a heart. Just had another of many Christmas gathering at our house with most all the families in our life. Always something special happens with a gift from one to another. I am a giver and not much of a wanter so my wishes for a gift are few. Always something to ware might be nice, a tool sometimes is great but things not bought with money are special and it tops out my wishes. I write things in thought if only to my own mind but share things that I hope have value in thought to you out there that I love as friends. My daughter wrote a letter to me along with a gift bag of things of thought from what is stored in her heart. A little roll of duct tape, A bungee cord, band aides , cherry chocolate candy, and other things that might offend someone not knowing the thoughts behind the gift. All these things were a simple reminder of her simple Dad. Most of her life she has watched me tinker, fix or build most everything known to man and most times it was with the help of these silly things in the gift bag. I was touched by the gift and had to turn away so she didnt see my eyes tear up. Anyone with a child knows that their love back to you holds the keys to your heart. The words in the letter cant be read by you but are written to this simple man with simple love. One of the best gifts I have had in years. The cost, a moment of time from someone that I so need her love. God knows how to pick the right things that make memories from one person to another possible. Today it was from a daughter to her Dad. Ill lock the memory away in my heart and set the letter aside to read now and again when my steps get slow. Wonderful Christmas, wonderful gift. Johnny
