A girl spends ages – years in this instance – finding the right pair of boots. You know, the type that fit nicely around one’s slightly-larger-than-size-six calves. When you find them, it’s like an epiphany. Love at first sight. Brown suede, perfect fit, true quality, comfortable, made in Spain. And they go with SO much in your wardrobe. You can’t get the credit card out quick enough to snap up those babies and get them home and onto your hoof. But that’s where things start to go horribly wrong. After a month of prancing around in your new loves, one day you place them up and to one side while you nip off for a shower. Only for ten minutes. And then you come out to this. See below? The leather was claimed to be waterproof but one can see that after a mere ten minutes of dedicated work by a 8 month old dachshund, the boot is saliva sodden. All careful double stitching has been chewed undone. Rubber sole gnawed away at. Available to good owner: one size 37 right hand boot, untouched. One naughty dachshund :)
